Doors Open Toronto | Open Studios Tours

Explore Toronto’s Buildings May 25 – 26, 2019
Canada’s largest event of its kind and one of the three largest in the world, Doors Open Toronto provides an opportunity for the public to see inside architecturally, historically, culturally and socially significant buildings across the city. Produced by the City of Toronto in partnership with the broader community, Doors Open Toronto has attracted more than two million visits to nearly 700 unique locations since its inception in 2000.

The 20th annual Doors Open Toronto presented by Great Gulf provides an opportunity to see inside more than 150 of the most architecturally, historically, culturally and socially significant buildings across the city. Each year, as part of Doors Open Toronto, the Toronto Society of Architects enlists a select group of architectural practices to open their studio doors to introduce the public and aspiring young architects and designers to the world of the architectural studio. The selected practices range from young, up and coming firms to large established studios working on a wide variety of projects – giving the public unparalleled access to the offices and people that are shaping our city.

Dubbeldam Architecture + Design (designer and operator of Lokaal) is one of these studios who will welcome the public in to see how they work on Sunday May 26th from 10am to 5pm. Principal Heather Dubbeldam will give short talks at 11am and 2pm and there will be fun workshops for kids 5+ during the talks.
